Mustache Baby Shower

I made sure to get my camera out to everyone at this shower, so that way I could have more pics.

 

Meg, Nichole, and Laura sure know how to put on a party. We've had so many baby GIRL showers, I was really looking forward to seeing what they'd come up with for my baby BOY shower. They put a lot of detail into this and I loved every second of it!

 Meg found these awesome finger tattoos of mustaches. Needless to say, it didn't take long until all of us were posing!

 Sarah gave strict instructions that you must pull a pedophile face while posing with the Mustache!

 I don't know why Nichole wasn't in this pic, but this is 2/3 of the party committee! And a rare look at my baby bump.

 This is the group of us! Thanks to all of you girls and for your love and support! We loved all of your thoughtful gifts!!!

 FACT!!! Cory has always loved getting mustache's out of the quarter machine. I specifically remember more than one date doing this before we were married. So I HAD to bring him home a finger tattoo! OF COURSE he loved it. The title of his was "8th grade bully" ha ha ha.

Family Baby Shower for Baby Waters

The hardest thing about having an awesome camera, and having a baby shower...you cant take many pictures of yourself. I did manage to get some good before pics of the food! Mom, Sarah, Karen, and Val, of course, outdid themselves!

 Then I had Sarah try and help me out with pictures, but with chasing her two girls around and passing gifts to me, she didn't get hardly any! Darn! BUT... it was such a fun time and our family really spoiled us! We seriously made out like bandits!!!

 This is my cousin Whitney. She just had her baby the other night. Lil boy!

I'm glad we got this pic. It sums up how both Whitney and I were feeling by the end of it! THANK YOU FAMILY FOR EVERYTHING! YOUR SUPPORT MEANS THE WORLD TO US!

THE BEAST IS DONE!!!

August 24 (almost 38 weeks) !!!

I went to the doctor today and Dr. Thackeray said that he was surprised with how far I was. He said that I am dialated to a little over 2.5 and 70% effaced. I'm probably the only girl in the world who wasn't so happy, and pretty nervous by that! I'm not sure that I'm ready to go yet. He said that he wouldn't be surprised if he saw me before my next appointment. Now I know... the number one rule when pregnant, DO NOT PSYCHE YOURSELF OUT! but what if the doctor is the one doing it?

 

Well, even though I'm not quite prepared yet, I guess if the lil guy decides to come earlier than I anticipated, I'll be happy. And if he comes a week after I anticipated, I'll be happy with that too! There is one thing I know for sure! I cannot WAIT until I'm not pregnant anymore. I am not one of those girls who glows or is beyond excited at all times. When I dont feel good, I dont feel good, and I haven't felt good for the past 9 months!

 

We are trying our hardest to get this house ready for the baby, but honestly dont have much time to do it. Our summer was so incredibly busy that absolutly nothing got done! And even now, Cory is just finishing up an accelerated math class (HIP HIP HOORAY), he works full time, is full time interviewing with every police department around, and is also the 2nd counselor in the Young Men's and Assistant Scout Master (his dream come true... FOR REALS), and I am working full time and ORNERY and TIRED full time... there is just NO TIME to get anything done. We're living by my moms words that, "As long as you have a car seat (check), and diapers at home (check check) that baby will be just fine." I hope she's right!

 

I have made a few things for baby Waters. These bibs were made out of Cory's old t-shirts! This picture kind of makes them look mis-proportioned, but they are actually pretty sweet!

 I also made a little blanket for him. Its all soft and minky on one side, and OWLS on the other!

 We also took on a BEAST of a project. This is the before picture of baby's dresser....

 This is Cory working on it...and the after will come in just a few days! I cant wait to show you!

 And here is our little Stockton, trying on one of the onesies Dont worry, we got two of these, so we will make sure and put baby in the other one. Stockton is our favorite lil pup... it is seriously strange to me how curious he is about all of the baby stuff. More so than anything else in the house. Maybe he knows?
