I'm Going to Double Up!

To start this blog off I just wanted to say how awesome Cory is. He helps me out so much. He's a hard worker and really tries his best, and I sure love him for it.

This was the other night. I was sitting with the girls... working on some crafts when Cory wondered if we were hungry. So... he whipped up some homemade (FROM SCRATCH) biscuits and gravy. Now, before I became a Waters I can honestly say that I never had biscuits and gravy. Even still I struggle with a heaping plate for breakfast, but for dinner OH MAN does it hit the spot. Anyways... my husband is the greatest and just happens to be pretty darn homey himself. He had all the girls ooohing and aaaing!
They were so good that I forgot to take a picture before I scarfed most of my plate down. ha ha
NOW...
This is part two of my previous post... remember, that sunny Saturday so long ago??? Where I got my chair painted? Well anyway! This is my poor, dreary wall. It has plain since the day we moved in. I have had an idea in the back of my mind for far to long, and I finally put it together and got it up!!!

I collected all different sizes and shapes of frames and laid it out on the floor of what I wanted it to look like. Then I took them outside and painted them what color I wanted them to be (oh the joys of spray paint)
And then I made Cory put them on the wall!!! I love it! Its so fun to have a full wall. I wish that the lighting in the apartment was better so that you could see how beautiful it actually is. And while I'm wishing, I wish that I would have taken a picture before my Valentines stuff was up! shoot!!! And, I still haven't put actually pics in my frames yet... ha ha ha.

AND NOW... On to St Valentines DAY

I started with a project where I needed Styrofoam balls. Have you seen how much those cost??? Like $4-6! I am not cool with that! Especially when I have so many WALMART bags chilling under my sink. So... what you do is bunch up a 5 or 6 Walmart bags, masking tape them in the shape of a circle and WALA!!!! Your own ball. (Walmart just keeps saving me!)
Well, I got the first ball covered in my crepe paper roses all by myself. But after I realized how long it took, I knew that I'd need re-inforecments if I wanted the second one done before the BIG DAY!!! So these lovely girls came to my rescue! A big shout out to Pack sister and the LAMB! They are two of my comps from my mission. And we got that second one done in no time!
And this is how they turned out! All in all it cost be about $1 in crepe paper! Talk about a steal!
And then there was this other craft I wanted to try. It needed one of those pricey Styrofoam ball thingies (how cheap can I be?) So I just went ahead and made another Walmart bag/masking tape ball. Then I got some of my scrap fabric (look familiar?) and scrunched it up just right. ANOTHER SHOUT OUT to my madre for giving me her sewing machine that she got for her wedding! (0: And hot glued it on.
And this is how it all turned out! I love having that wall so jazzed up! What with the frames and the colors and the LOVEY DOVEY decorations!
Again, sorry for the lighting, it just doesn't do it justice! (and yes, if your wondering whats on the TV, it is Little House on the Prairie. That is mine and Stockton's favorite show to watch)
